    Energy efficient universal stand for load testing of asynchronous traction motors and dc motors

    The article presents a universal energy-efficient stand for load testing of asynchronous traction motors, and DC motors. It is proposed to use two options of schemes for testing of traction DC motors with serial excitation and asynchronous motors, and traction motors DC parallel (independent) excitation and asynchronous motors, each of which allows you to implement energy-efficient test method - the method of mutual loading. Given the advantages of the use of the proposed stand. The calculation of the main parameters recorded during the test: currents, voltages and power are invited to perform with the help of mathematical models. Each of the mathematical models takes into account the work of the subjects of the asynchronous traction motors and traction motors DC series or parallel (independent) excitation) by the method of mutual loading: electrical and mechanical link. In conclusion, the article sets out the intended results from the implementation of energy-efficient universal stand for load testing of asynchronous traction motors, and DC motors.

    Analysis and assessment of power efficiency of special self-propelled railway rolling stock

    Electric power installation of a special self-propelled rolling stock used in the power supply divisions is considered in the paper; the expediency of its use for the analysis of the main energy indices, in particular, the evaluation of the efficiency of electro-hydro-mechanical units at separate and joint operation, is shown. To assess the energy efficiency, an integrated efficiency factor has been proposed that allows to account the energy parameters of electrical installations operating in various modes. Recommendations have been given to increase the power factor of electrical installations.

    Virtual lever mechanism: dynamic damping ofoscillations as form of manifestation of lever ties

    Features of interaction of elements of a dynamic quencher of oscillations in the form of a rigid body with two degrees of freedom are considered. It is shown that the dynamic quencher is interpreted in structure of mechanical oscillatory system with object of protection as additional negative tie which can be presented by the generalized spring. Dynamic ruggedness of the generalized spring depends on the frequency of external indignation and defines manifestations of dynamic properties, characteristic for the modes of dynamic blanking out of oscillations. The generalized spring possesses properties of a quasi-spring that creates possibilities of various transformations of structure of system. Introduction of concept of the generalized transmission ratio of the lever ties arising between coordinates of the movement of elements of a dynamic quencher is offered. Forms of the transfer relations of lever ties are in univocity with system of the chosen coordinates. The transfer relations of lever ties allow to detail forms of mutual movements of elements of system. The method of creation of mathematical models is developed for an assessment of lever properties of movements of mechanical oscillatory systems.

    Laser thermohardening of friction couple "ring - sleeve of cylinder"

    Article is devoted to actual questions of research of microstructure,physic-mechanical and tribological indicators blankets of friction couple "ring-sleeve of cylinder" under laser processing.Analysis of base defects of elements of cylinder-piston group of internal combustion engines,methods their reduction and rise of tribotechnical characteristics are conducted.Notes that different kinds of thermos and chemical thermal processing of working surface of link are most effective means of rise of wear resistance of couple "ring-sleeve of cylinder".Using of perspective technology of laser thermostrengthening is offered with this target.Offering technologies find greater application in automobile and technics of agricultural purpose. But purpose of ICE in aviation industry due to their specific exploitative and specific design features is limited.At the same time,they may have important practical meaning. Different variants of laser modification of surfaces of coupling in the context of CPG of aviation engine of ASH-62IR are offered and analyzed in article. Data of microstructural analysis of blanket,indicators of microhardness and wear resistance are adduced.Short description of tribotechnical laboratory-scale plant and methodic of conduct an experiment on base of comparative analysis of findings is given.Wherein tribotechnical indicators are compared with results of metallographical researches and physic-mechanical properties of modification layer,in particular with indicator of microhardness. Conduct of tribological researches determines that rise of indicator of wear resistance of friction couple "ring-sleeve of cylinder" observed at all researching regimes of laser effect with acconting of identified border conditions of processing for both elements of coupling.Maximum value of wear resistance is observed at laser thermostrengthening of both surfaces of couple on critical levels of density of laser energy.These levels do not case of appearance of microcracks in blanket.Wherein wearing qualities of modification surface of cylinder sleeve may increase by 4,5 - 5 times and wearing qualities of piston rings more than 3 times. Theoretical bases of mechanism of wear of thermos thermostrengthening surfaces which illustrate kinetics of increase their wear resistance in result of formation of microstructure of special blanket with increased bearing capacity,microhardness and improved conditions of wear of modification layer.Experimentally validated that the greatest wear resistance is observed in the friction elements at their mutual modifying their surfaces.

    The questions of the composition of the design and technology of smelting, casting and heat treatment of alloyed rail steels having high operational stability. Together specialists EVRAZ ZSMK Novokuznetsk and IrGUPS was proposed complex doping scheme of the rail steel and rail rolling floor EVRAZ ZSMK was conducted testing of the technology of smelting and eletropechnoy thermostrengthening superperlitnoy steel of high purity, which has high wear resistance. several experimental batches were produced rails, which are tested on the site of the saddle-point Irkutsk-Slyudyanka VSZHD with an unfavorable combination of operational loads, causing increased wear of the rails. The test results showed high wear resistance experienced rails and expediency of development of industrial production.

    Evaluation of the influence of mechanical propertiesof materials on the strengthin the «wheel center - bandage» compound

    The cranking of the bandages in service leads to an earlier replacement of the bandage than the pawned resource, which entails both an increase in maintenance costs and a long, simple locomotive for repair. The article shows the main factors that have a significant effect on the strength of the «wheel center - bandage» connection. Particular attention is paid to the mechanical properties of materials. The calculation of the reduction of the contact pressure from the heating of the bandage has been carried out, both for the new and for the worn out. New materials for manufacturing of bandage wheels are considered. It was found that the hardness of the materials can have a significant effect on the strength of the bandage fit to the wheel center. Preliminary calculations of the influence of hardness on the strength of the joint are carried out.The analysis of the influence of the mechanical properties of banding wheel materials on the strength of the joint can be used in the improvement of new materials in the manufacture of bandage wheels and in the development of technology for the formation of wheel sets of locomotives, which in turn will improve the efficiency of wheel sets of lo-comotives.

    The method of definition of dynamical reactions in mechanical oscillation systems with rigid body with two degrees of freedom is discussed. Understandings about possibilities of creature of structural analogy schemes in relations with systems of automatic feed-back control are used. Transformations of structural schemes for selection of chain of feed-back ties in accordance in examination of object are shown. Such ties represent the dynamical reactions which are looked.     Method of diagnosing the condition of the commutationof collector dc motors

    The article deals with the problem of diagnosing the technical condition of the collector-brush unit of DC motors. The topicality of this problem in the engines operating on the railway transport, which are in the most severe operating conditions, is particularly noted. These studies are aimed at improving the reliability of diagnosing the technical condition of the collector-brush unit through the use of a new method of diagnosing the condition of collector DC motors’ commutation. The proposed method of diagnosis is based on a new principle of processing diagnostic information about the spark pulses under the brushes. The article presents the histograms of the distribution of the pulses' intensity of different sections of the armature winding. The research conducted an experiment using a digital control device that allows to identify and digitize a useful diagnostic signal from multipolar brushes with a high sampling rate and transfer it to a computer. Analysis of the experiment’s results showed that the average value of the pulse’s area increases with increasing the spark’s intensity. Nevertheless, severe sparking at the collector leads to the law of distribution becomes double-modal, and as a result, dramatically increases the standard deviation of the values of the pulses’ areas. Described effect makes misinformation in the diagnosis procedure using the parameters of the laws of distribution of the spark’s intensity. The proposed method of diagnosis allows to eliminate this effect. The copyright for a new method of diagnosing is protected by a patent.

    Modeling of electromagnetic fields of a three-phase traction network

    The aim of the research presented in the article was to develop computer models for determining the electromagnetic fields (EMF) generated by three-phase 25 kV traction power supply systems (TPSS). In contrast to traditional single-phase TPSS, three-phase systems are electromagnetically balanced, provide symmetric loads of substations, increase voltages at current collectors of rolling stock, reduce asymmetry and non-sinusoidality in 110 - 220 kV supply networks. However, the issues of quantitative assessment of electromagnetic safety conditions in three-phase traction networks remain unstudied. To implement the formulated goal, we used the methods of modes and EMF simulation developed at the Irkutsk State University of Railway Transport, the distinctive feature of which is the use of phase coordinates; in this case, the models of TPSS elements are formed on the basis of lacelike equivalent networks. The simulation was carried out for three-phase TPSS schemes of different complexity, in which case the complex traction network was implemented by modifying the model of a real TPSS of one of the main railroads of Eastern Siberia. Simulation results indicated that compared to the typical TPSS 25 kV, the maximum electric field strength increases by 2.5 % in the three-phase system. The maximum value of the magnetic field strength decreases by 26 %. Similar indicators for average values are 2.6 and 19 %. The proposed methodology and the developed computer models can be used in the design of promising three-phase TPSS. In the conditions of power engineering digitization, the application of this technique in practice will allow to apply a scientifically validated approach to the analysis of electromagnetic safety conditions traction networks and to develop its improvement.

    Analysis of the modes of power supply systems based on the digital processing of the instant voltage and current values using the wavelet transform

    The article presents a criterion for choosing the optimal type of wavelet function for digital processing of current and voltage values in the analysis of the electric network mode. The increase in the share of electric receivers that distort the quality of electricity sets the task for researchers to use more advanced mathematical tools for analyzing and modeling such power supply systems. The discrete wavelet transform allows the harmonic analysis of currents and voltages under non-stationary non-sinusoidal modes. One of the key tasks in the development of digital technologies in the electric power industry is the creation and development of intelligent electric networks with the introduction of new algorithms for digital data processing and decision making. In this case, algorithms for compression and remote recovery of data on the consumption and production of electrical energy in the cloud should be developed. The wavelet transform eliminates the negative spreading effect characteristic of the Fourier transform in the analysis of non-sinusoidal non-stationary modes. Based on the Parseval equality, the wavelet transform makes it possible to determine the spectrum energy of individual frequency ranges determined by the depth of decomposition and the sampling frequency of the signal under study. The calculation of the energy of the spectrum of wavelet coefficients allows the compression of the flow volume of instantaneous values of voltages and currents. The article presents the results of continuous and discrete wavelet current conversion when switching a battery of static capacitors. Information compression ratio exceeded 5.3. The wavelet transform was performed using eight different wavelet functions. The criterion for choosing the optimal mother wavelet determines the condition of the maximum energy of the spectrum and the minimum standard deviation when restoring the original signal.

    Analysis of the non-sinusoidal mode of operation of the system of power supply on the basis of the wavelet of digital flow transformation of instant values of current

    Recently, for the analysis of complex nonlinear processes, more and more attention is paid to the mathematical apparatus of wavelet transform. This is due to the fact that unlike the traditional Fourier transform, the wavelet transform provides information about the signal under study in the time-frequency domain. The purpose of research is to analyze and simulate a non-sinusoidal non-stationary mode based on the packet wavelet transform, the use of this method for transmitting the digital data stream of the signal under study. The simulation was carried out using the software package Simulink. In the study found that packet wavelet transform with high precision allows to determine the presence of higher harmonics in the power system, the efficiency of using wavelet transform to compress digital data stream of the test signal.

    Diagnostics of solid insulation of transformers by information assessment of indirect indicators

    A mathematical model for diagnosing the state of solid insulation of high-voltage transformers based on an informational assessment of indirect indicators, i.e. entropy, for example, by the content of impurities of various gases dissolved in transformer oil, which allows to determine the technical condition without removing the workload. The values of the average information on the working and faulty state of insulation for various types of gas impurities are calculated.
