2-8The article discusses the specifics of the locomotive reliability indicators use in the Russian Railways. Examples of locomotive reliability indicators and the indicators used in the Russian Railways in the conclusion of service contracts, including under the life cycle contract are given. A method of transition from national standard to Russian Railways has been proposed. It is concluded that these procedures can be automated. -

44-52The article presents the results of the research conducted by the authors, the purpose of which was to development a model for recognizing defects in axle caps of a wheel-motor block of a locomotive in order to implement automatic advance notification of management structures about the need for maintenance or repair operations to eliminate defects at an early stage of their occurrence. The research used the following interdisciplinary and mathematical methods: computer and mathematical modeling, methods of mathematical statistics, methods of the theory of artificial intelligence and parametric reliability. As a result of the research, a mathematical formalization of the model for recognizing one of the defects in the axle caps of the wheel-motor block of the locomotive - the groove (chipping) of the babbitt layer was obtained. With the help of the obtained model, it is possible to implement automatic recognition of defects, pre-failure states not only of axle caps, but also of other units of technical systems. The developed model can be used in monitoring systems, control, diagnostics of the technical condition of the locomotive fleet, in order to reduce downtime in repairs and forced costs for scheduled operations. The proposed model solves the range of problems described in the development concept of JSCo Russian Railways associated with the implementation of the actual repair system for the current technical condition of the locomotive, as well as with the digitalization of the company's advanced areas. -

75-82With the advent of new series of locomotives, the development of heavy freight trains, the increasing speeds of passenger trains, the introduction of innovative technical means and technologies, the degree of influence of various indicators on energy consumption is redistributed. The aim of the article is to develop a methodology for monitoring the efficiency of locomotives when changing the set of operational factors. This will make it possible to more accurately determine the estimated change in specific energy consumption, which in turn will increase the objectivity of the assessment of the causes of changes in the energy intensity of transport and will help to reduce energy losses. -

For the detection of the causes of the decrease of the specific regeneration’s level on the area an algorithm is offered, which enables to determine the causes of the decrease of the specific regeneration’s level on the arbitrary monitoring’s area in view of the determination of the locomotive’s capacity for work, work parameters of the electric traction system and the executed graphic time-table. 111-121The quality of a track circuit monitoring system is defined to the great extent by its ability to automatically analyse the acquired data, i. e. identify the state of a track circuit. Machine learning techniques can be applied to implement this functionality. Designing a machine learning algorithm requires a learning data set from the subject domain. In this article we discuss a basic principle of track circuit mathematical model design that could be used to generate such data set. We also apply this principle and a combination of some existing methods to design and demonstrate a mathematical model of the 25 Hz AC track circuit. -

The relevance of improving automated systems is due to the intensification of the use of modern information technologies in industry. The aim of the work is to select the architecture of the distributed information system for monitoring and resources accounting (hereinafter - the system), which ensures prompt decision-making in the management of technological objects. We consider the current trends in the development of information systems and concepts that provide the requirements established for systems of this class and purpose. The system is based on previously designed prototype that has been put into operation, and differs from it in new solutions that allow to increase mobility and fault tolerance. We describe the basic implemented architectures and the system functionality. -

134-141In article the solution of a task of the organization of operational monitoring of elements of the rolling stock on the basis of the methods of statistical definition of quality which were widely used in the analysis of defects of the current production is considered. The problem is solved on the example of carrying out control and diagnostic operations by results of which realization the conclusion about technical condition of elements of the rolling stock becomes. The approach offered in article allows to consider a posteriori information and by that to optimize the volume of the carried-out works. The received results can be used at the solution of a complex of tasks of decrease in resource intensity of system of repair and the maintenance of the rolling stock. -

135-143The object of the research is the solid rocks massif containing the Kuznetsovskiy tunnel with a length of 3890 m, the greatest depth of the deposit is 355 m, which crosses the mountain pass section of Sikhote-Alin on the Komsomolsk-Sovetskaya Gavan line of the Far Eastern Railway. The aim of the studies was a detailed analysis of the engineering and geological conditions of the facility and their impact on construction and operation. These data are obtained as a result of field research, laboratory testing of physical and mechanical properties of rocks, evaluation of water flow to drainage structures and analytical calculations. The massif is composed by terrigenous rocks - a rhythmic interlayering of heterogeneous grained sandstones, siltstones, gravelites, conglomerates, that are classified as strong. Layering has a steep drop and a sublatitudinal strike, deviating from the axis of the tunnel by 20 - 60 °. The tunnel axis is crossed by a system of faults of various capacities, their total capacity is 334 m, which is 8.5% of the length of the tunnel. The fault zones are associated with increased fracturing, reduced stability, in places abundant water inflows that have peaks in the summer, the threat of landslides, intense silicification and sulfide mineralization. The obtained monitoring materials by methods of recording natural pulses of the electromagnetic field of the earth (NPEFE) (EEMEMP) and dipole electromagnetic profiling (DEMP) allowed to draw a conclusion about the real picture of the development and forecast of the rock pressure, as well as the dynamics of the groundwater entering the mine for safe construction and operation. The state of the geodynamic conditions of the mountain massif is characterized as stable. Available data can be used as a starting point for assessing and forecasting aspects of the construction and operation of the second stage of the tunnel.
