    A mathematical model of a track circuit for data set generationin machine classification applications

    The quality of a track circuit monitoring system is defined to the great extent by its ability to automatically analyse the acquired data, i. e. identify the state of a track circuit. Machine learning techniques can be applied to implement this functionality. Designing a machine learning algorithm requires a learning data set from the subject domain. In this article we discuss a basic principle of track circuit mathematical model design that could be used to generate such data set. We also apply this principle and a combination of some existing methods to design and demonstrate a mathematical model of the 25 Hz AC track circuit.

    Mathematical model of the sensitivity function of a magnetoinduction sensor based on the astigmatic approach to identify defects in the rolling surface of wheelsets in the process of moving them above the sensor

    The article describes three variants of the mathematical model of the sensitivity function of the magnetoinduction sensor for assessing the influence of various sensor parameters in the electromechanical system «wheel - rail - magnetoinduction sensor» for diagnosing the technical condition of the rolling surface of the rolling wheels of rolling stock in the process of its movement over the sensor. An example of an algorithm for identifying defects located on the surface of the wheel rolling circle is described. The proposed multi-vector mathematical model allows simulating various defects on the rolling surface of the wheel, developing and testing new algorithms for processing the output signal of the sensor on the basis of modern hardware and software. The implemented defect identification algorithm is based on the property of the centrally symmetric form of the sensitivity function of the magnetoinduction sensor and the allocation of a useful signal corresponding to a certain type of defect, based on the application of a mutual correlation function and the assessment of its maximum and minimum values in comparison with the specified thresholds and confidence intervals. The main requirement for the implementation of the model is the uniform movement of the train above the sensor along a straight section of the rail track. This article discusses only one of the possible digital signal processing algorithms, but the proposed model allows us to compare the efficiency of other possible algorithms identification of defects in the rolling surface of wheelsets. The developed model confirms the prospects of using magnetic induction sensors for identification of not only visible, but also hidden defects on the rolling surface of the wheel in the process of movement of the train.

    Improvement of noise immunity of digital phase-measuringdevices for the study of electrodynamic processesin traction substations of railway transport

    In the work completed a study of shape vertices a unimodel probability density function (kurtosis) on the output of the nonlinear converter «phase shift - code, which is the most important parameter for evaluating conditions of finding mode to this function. To increase the accuracy of assessment shifts phases when there is high level of random noise is defined not only quality, but also quantitative dependence of the kurtosis probability density function on the output of the nonlinear converter «phase shift - code» of Standard deviation phase fluctuations of the signal at its input. The mathematical model of the distribution function on the output of the converter «phase shift - code» for research and implementation of algorithms improve noise immunity measure phase shifts between harmonic components of voltage and current in traction power supply rail transport networks.

    Assessment of voltage losses in the ac traction network for two different types of the locomotive’s rectifier-inverter converters: on thyristors or igbt-transistors

    The paper deals with benefits of a new rectifier-inverter converter of an electric locomotive based on IGBT-transistors. Main directions of heavy haul traffic's development are considered for Siberia and Russian Far East electrified railways. Throughput and carrying capacity of power supply devices extremely depends on the voltage level in the catenary network of electrified sections of railways. Objects of our research are electric parameters of the 25 kV, 50 Hz AC traction power supply system. Operation parameters of two different types of the electric locomotive’s rectifier-inverter converters are calculated and discussed. We investigated operation parameters for thyristor-based and IGBT-transistors- based rectifier-inverter converter. Current and voltage curves for the thyristor and the transistor type of the rectifier-inverter converter are given and discussed. Similarity factor of current curves for electric locomotives was calculated by equivalent sinusoid’s .method. Quantitative assessment of the voltage level, currents and voltage losses in the AC catenary network is given. The graph-analytical method was used for constructing currents and voltages vector diagrams. It is proved that electric locomotives with a new rectifier-inverter conversion based on IGBT transistors provides a reducing of the total voltage losses in three times in the traction network comparing the thyristor conversion's operation.

    Improvement of cleaning of ballast bed railways from oil products by the gradder washer

    Examined the effect of oil pollution on the ballast bed of the railway track, namely, the effect of oil and oil products on the following functions performed by the ballast bed: maintenance of the rail-sleeper grid, perception of loads from rolling stock, filtration of melt and rainwater. Ballast oil pollution leads to an increase in its distribution in the environment. Oil and oil products have a strong negative impact on the environment, which leads to degradation of vegetation. The causes of oil contamination of the ballast bed, which lead to disruption of its functions, are determined. Attention to increasing the humidity of the ballast in the wintertime, which leads to freezing of the ballast and an increase in the stiffness of the path. Considered a method for cleaning gravel with a gravel-cleaning machine and revealed shortcomings. Studies of the effectiveness of washing oil-contaminated ballast gravel with O-BISM detergent in the absence of mechanical influence on the sample, as well as with the use of barbation and mixing of the sample. The optimal technological mode of application of the washing solution is established. Proposed an option for improving the cleaning of ballast gravel from oil products with a gravel-cleaning machine to solve the problem of efficiently cleaning the ballast gravel from oil pollution, which will solve the problem of crushed stone reuse and utilization.

    Method of ensuring the withdrawal of widening of gauge at curves with radius less than 350 m

    In the article the issues on creation of branch of track width when changing it in the curved track with radius less than 350 m. Presented the existing methods of widening or narrowing the width of the track in the curves section of track. We propose a method of change of gauge in curved track is from 1520 to 1530 or 1535 mm. to the Proposed method of drainage of the track width is carried out by the existing structures of the elements of the superstructure. The proposed method of drainage of the track width gives a smooth fit of the rolling stock in curve track section and provides the requirements of the applicable standards.

    Precinct speed factor influence on specific energy consumption in freight traffic

    The most important task of the Russian Federation's energy strategy is the efficient use of energy resources. Rail transport is a one of the major consumers of diesel fuel and electricity, where the major energy consumption is used for traction. Traction energy consumption depends on a number of operational factors, including the characteristics of high-speed trains. The article is devoted to the designation of ways to assess the impact of changes in the coefficient of the precinct speed of freight trains on the change in specific energy consumption of locomotives. It is concluded that the calculation influence coefficient use indicators of locomotives, including the coefficient of the precinct speed must be performed for each of the structural units and analyzed the calendar period. Proposed by the authors for this formula is included in the methods of analysis and forecasting of energy resources consumption for traction trains introduced on the Russian train system in 2015.

    Evaluation of noise immunity measurement devices in the study of phase correlations in traction networks ac railway transport

    In work done modeling and analysis of noise immunity of the proposed measurement method of phase shifts between harmonic components of voltage and current in traction power supply rail transport networks and estimation of maximum permissible noise level, where workability digital devices used to study phase shifts in these conditions. The simulation results have shown that the probability density function on the output of the nonlinear converter «phase shift - code» remains a unimode at any ratio range converter and standard deviation of the phase of the input signal. Implementation of researched ways of microprocessor-based digital device guarantees the stability and accuracy of measurement results in traction phase shifting networks of power supply of railway transport in the presence of high levels of industrial noise, nonlinear fast variable nature of the traction load, sparking the pantographs for electric locomotives in contact network and use recovery systems based on pulse converters.

    Perspective methods of management of transportand distribution of electric energy in electricnetworks of railways

    The introduction of digital technologies in electrical networks and substations allows the introduction of new technologies and promising methods for managing transportation and distribution of electricity in intelligent electric networks of railways based on multi-agent control. These methods should provide improved performance, adaptive definition of restrictions on the use of electric power equipment, control of mode parameters, partitioning and power flow modes in distribution networks, restoration of power supply after emergency events. A method of adaptive control of transport and distribution of electrical energy in the power supply system of stationary consumers of railways has been developed, based on the hierarchical structure of IEC 61850, taking int o account the coordination of control and local controllers in the data exchange environment, a variable area of responsibility of control controllers multi-agent approach. It presents approaches to managing power flows to reduce energy losses, increase the capacity of transport channels and ensure restoration of the normal mode of the electrical network by reconfiguring it and managing active elements based on graph theory, taking into account the projected hourly load schedule, limiting the demand for power to active consumers and closed mode electrical network operation through controlled sections. The presented simulation results of voltage control in the test circuit showed the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

    Improvement of computing procedures of the signalsanalysis in the traction electrical network

    The analysis of electric energy quality with a required by modern standards accuracy demands applying of digital signals processing. At measurement, one of the main operations is finding signals correlation. Operations performance over digital representations of the signals containing a large points number requires many of computing resources that results in importance of a fast correlation calculation problem. The well-known methods of correlation calculation is applying a range of algorithms: transformation correlation to cyclic convolution, calculation cyclic convolution through FFT and others. These algorithms are well-studied, however their combination make possible additional optimization of algorithms. In paper we offer the method of computing procedure optimization for signals correlation calculation based on operations reduction when performing a sequence two Fourier transformations. Using another way of placing the calculations results we can reduce a data rearranging operations number. Depending on computing architecture, the offered method allows to accelerate calculations to 20 - 25%.

    Technological solutions for managing loaded and empty runs

    The article deals measures to improve the efficiency of using empty cars on the example of the East Siberian railway. The problem of the mechanism for managing cargo and empty runs has been identified. It is necessary to create the system for managing empty rolling stock. The authors consider the technology of working with the company's empty car fleet and the logistics of rolling stock through the Taishet station of the East Siberian railway. The relevance of the goal is the insufficiently developed transport and logistics infrastructure of the region located at the intersection of large transport flows, high costs of logistics operators for the empty tariff. Taking into account the prospects for the development of the station's transport and logistics infrastructure in accordance with the long-term development program of Russian Railways, there are opportunities to increase the range of types of rolling stock and cargo, including container ones. This technology, with timely provision of empty rolling stock for stations, will significantly increase the level of loading and unloading and routing of incoming empty cars. The practical significance of the considered measures is the possibility of reducing the load of some stations, reducing empty flights of rolling stock, increasing the profitability of transportation and the efficiency of using rolling stock by reducing its turnover. In General, for the network, the results will increase the capacity and transit volumes of container traffic from China to the Russian Federation, and stimulate the development of the transport business.

    Peculiarities of the technical railway stations’ development within the transit transport nodes of the far east region

    One of the priority areas of economic development of the Far East Region is focused on the communications with the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region. The region is crossed by the largest railways, such as Trans-Sib and Baikal-Amur, which have an access to the Far East seaports that promotes the growth of international trade operations and the increase of the transit traffic in the region. An expansion of transport and economic relations of our country in the Far East Region, the implementation of a considerable number of extractive industry programs ​​ within Baikal-Amur Region, the development of the sea ports of the Far East Region will cause the growth of the workload on the rail infrastructure that is impossible without its development and modernization. An important role in the transport process belongs to the technical stations, which handle all transit trains traffic. Therefore, at the current state, the consideration of the aspects of choosing the rational variants of railway transit nodes’ development with allowance for the environmental factors is timely.

    The article deals with the introduction of a twenty - four pulse rectifiers with various rectification circuits on direct current traction substations. The results of the operation of a twenty-four-pulse rectifier installed at one of the traction substations prove the expediency of using such a converter.     External power supply system optimization by choosing a progressive voltage class considering the total life cycle of a gas field

    Using the example of operating gas fields in the Western Siberia, the issue of the correct choice of voltage class, considering all the periods of gas fields life cycle, appears. Wrong choice of the voltage class leads to braking development of a gas field. Gas field technological scheme during the each period of the life cycle is considered, the dynamics of the electrical load is estimated. The analysis of existing methods of choosing the voltage class is carried out and their flaws are revealed. Mathematical models of the optimal voltage class calculation and discounted costs calculation are developed using the theory of experiment planning. An algorithm of choosing the optimal voltage is developed and the distribution and supply networks of the external power supply system of the existing gas fields in Western Siberia are investigated. Progressive voltage class for power supply and distribution network is proposed. Conclusions are made.

    Analysis of the seasonal dynamics of the indicator of the amount of deviations in rail gauge geometry from the second degree standard on the infrastructure of russian railways, at the network and regional levels

    Purpose. Constructing a model for predicting a quantitative indicator of the pre-discharge state of the upper structure of the track based on a statistical analysis of the seasonal dynamics of this indicator. Forecasting involves identifying bottlenecks for timely corrective action. This approach allows you to refine the construction of algorithms of the functional risk assessment system on the infrastructure of Russian Railways for managing the technical condition of the railway track and safety and is considered as an element of digitalization of the risk assessment of traffic safety in the Railway Infrastructure Directorate. The development is carried out on the basis of accepted existing regulatory documents and classifiers of risk factors operating for the infrastructure management at Russian Railways. Methods. regression analysis, data validation, modeling based on regression analysis. Results. Dependence was identified and a forecast model of the dynamics of the number of deviations of the 2nd degree rail gauge geometry (GRK) was built based on the use of actual data from the automated system Path (APCS P) of Russian Railways. Testing of the approach was carried out on the basis of the Directorate of Infrastructure of the North Caucasus Railway. The identified dependence allows you to give a fairly accurate forecast of the state of traffic safety and the development of GRK deviations on the 2nd degree for use in practice, effective planning of material costs for planned preventive work and overhaul at linear enterprises, on a specific railway adopted for calculation and on the network of Russian Railways. Practical significance. The constructed model allows predicting the intensity of the risk factor on an objective basis of seasonal patterns, as well as the volume of control impacts on the current content of the upper track structure. The presence of such a forecast will make it possible to establish a relationship between the indicator of the dynamics of the number of deviations of the 2nd degree rail gauge geometry, including seasonal dynamics, and the risk factor, that is, the number of GRK deviations of the 3rd degree used in the risk assessment on the infrastructure. The result of this approach is the solution of a system of tasks that affect the values that reflect the level of risks, and as a result, effective management of financial flows for the maintenance of infrastructure, reduction and prevention of traffic safety incidents.

    Efficiency evaluation of use of regime automatic equipment of reserve converting aggregates on the basis of the analysis of load graphs in case of the existing settings

    In article the algorithm of operation of the existing regime automatic equipment of transforming aggregates is considered. Earlier it was read that use of automatic equipment of switching on switch-off of reserve transforming aggregates is an effective remedy of lowering of losses in case of regulation of power of substation depending on tractive loading. Defining factors of assessment of efficiency of automatic equipment are the current and temporal settings, and also restriction of number of switchings in days. The analysis of diagrams of tractive loading showed that there is rather large number of temporal intervals where operation of automatic equipment is ineffective. On the one hand it is connected to the fact that loading is above a point of equality of losses in case of one and two transforming aggregates quite short time, and automatic equipment connects the reserve transforming aggregate already in the course of lowering of loading and disconnects it after a temporal setting. On the other hand - operating restriction of number of switchings of the reserve transforming aggregate in days doesn't allow to gain the considerable economic effect. The decision on use of regime automatic equipment with the existing settings can be the positive if at the same time the estimated effect in the form of abbreviation of losses of the electric power is above cumulative damage from switching of the reserve transforming aggregate. Regime automatic equipment in most cases, it is necessary to consider not as means of obtaining economic effect, and as means of reliability augmentation of operation of semiconductor rectifiers at the peak moments of loading what in turn influences reliability of electrical power supply of pull of trains in general.

    Formation of the transport system of the astrakhan region during the construction of the northern bypass of the international transport corridor “north - south”

    The article highlights the importance of the international transport corridor “North - South” for our country. It is important to consider that the Astrakhan region is a gateway to international transport links. Both water and road routes, which are part of the North-South ITC, pass through the city of Astrakhan and the Astrakhan region. Road communication routes are extremely in demand due to the multimodality of cargo transportation, as well as the decrease in volumes when using waterways due to the shallowing of the Volga-Caspian Canal. Existing road transport routes pass through the urban environment, significantly increasing the traffic load. This leads to a deterioration in the condition of the road surface, negatively affects the economic and environmental components, and there is an increase in the number of congestion conditions. To improve the efficiency of the North-South international transport corridor, planning solutions have been developed. The planning task was to redirect transit traffic flows in order to divert them from the city, reducing the length of road communications. The implementation of planning solutions was carried out using the PTV Vision® VISSIM software product. The article presents the developed scheme of an alternative route, implemented through the construction of the Northern Bypass, which includes the construction of a new bridge across the Volga River, as well as road interchanges. This planning solution will allow the length of road communications, which are a regional part of the international transport corridor “North-South,” to be halved. If implemented, the proposed project will relieve congestion on the highways of the city of Astrakhan, increase traffic capacity and traffic safety.

    Analysis of working conditions and incidence of conductors cars

    Article considers the analysis of working conditions of conductors of cars. Major harmful and adverse production factors inherent in this profession: vibration, noise, dust content, chemicals, adverse microbiological atmosphere. Work of conductors belongs to category of «travelling» pro-fessions, and, bigger number of conductors are occupied on long trips, moving during 3 and more (till 7 days). The incidence structure also has a number of differences: at conductors of cars diseas-es of respiratory organs, bodies of blood circulation, bone and muscular system, a trauma and al-lergic diseases prevail. Diseases of respiratory system at conductors make more than a half of all cases of temporary disability and meet mainly in the form of ORZ, rhinitises, bronchitis and pneu-monia that indicates the need of regulation and normalization of the air environment of the car which is object of long stay and a conductor workplace.

    In the article, on the basis of the thermodynamic analysis of the working process in the turbine, a method is presented for determining the generation of electricity based on heat consumption and an assumption is made about the possibility of instrumental measurement of the amount of generation and the implementation of accounting in real operating conditions of the steam turbine. This indicator can become an important indicator in the district heating system and automatic regulation of heat energy supply, such a statement of the problem in the district heating system was made for the first time and requires additional research. The article discusses the influence of electricity generation on thermal consumption on the efficiency of the power system of district heating. Dependences of electricity generation based on heat consumption on the share of steam supplied to the heating extraction are obtained. Specific power generation has been determined taking into account regeneration.

    Passenger comfort as a track and rolling stock interaction indicator

    The article deals with the issue of the interaction of the track and rolling stock and the relationship of factors affecting the comfort of passengers. Examples of passenger comfort indicators are given and possible causes of deviations in the track geometry are considered. The results of experimental trips are analyzed and the data obtained by standard diagnostic tools are presented. Natural irregularities in the plan and profile were constructed in the analyzed areas where comfort indicators were exceeded. The data presented demonstrate the use of an additional indicator of the interaction of the track and rolling stock, which is advisable to take into account to identify deviations in the geometry of the track gauge when carrying out work on the current maintenance of the track, since there are irregularities or combinations of irregularities in the track that have an increased dynamic impact. It is worth noting that currently not all irregularities are registered, and accordingly such irregularities are not eliminated. Using the «passenger comfort» indicator calculated from the accelerations occurring in the elements of the rolling stock, it is possible to determine the places and deviations of the geometry of the track gauge that affect the dynamic characteristics of the rolling stock, causing increased comfort indicators.
