    Complex examination of breaches of fastening partsof rolling stock by metal-graphic analysis methods

    The article is devoted to the analysis of the quality of materials for the manufacture of fasteners for rolling stock. The paper presents the results of studies of parts destroyed during operation that are used for fastening the undercarriage assemblies, spring suspension and impact-traction devices of rolling stock. The purpose of the work is to establish the probable causes of the destruction of parts under the action of static and dynamic loads during movement on the track. The paper describes the methodology and sequence of examination of materials based on the analysis of the chemical composition of metals, the assessment of mechanical properties and the study of the surfaces of fractures of parts. The results of spectral analysis of the metal of the investigated parts, measurements of hardness and analysis of the surface of fractures of the parts are presented, which allowed to establish the possible nature, sequence and causes of their destruction. The results obtained in the course of the research showed that the main reason for the breaks in the fasteners of rolling stock is the impact on them of loads exceeding the tensile strength of the metal. It was found that the brand used in the production of metal does not meet the requirements of the normative-technical documentation for the product and is not intended for the manufacture of fasteners. Thus, the findings confirm the need to tighten the quality control of materials used in the manufacture of fasteners for rolling stock, and can be used in machine-building enterprises specializing in the production of components and spare parts for railway rolling stock. The main conclusion of the work is the need to use in the production of fastening parts of the responsible components and assemblies of rolling stock, structurally reasonable steels and alloys.

    Modeling accumulation of products depreciation in engine oil of diesel d49

    Process operating diesel locomotive associated with the gradual deterioration of parts of the cylinder-piston and crank mechanism. Periodic assessment without taking for the pieces of these groups is possible when using a method based on an analysis of the current values of the control concentration of wear. One of the main problems in the implementation of this method is the problem of estimating the amount of metal worn with controlled parts on the analysis of the current values of the concentration of wear.     Features of vibration arising in a pair of «electric locomotive wheel - rail» in curves of small radius

    The paper is vibration investigation in a case of guiding of railroad vehicle in curves with low radius. Experimental methods. Examine results of the investigation of vibrations on box bearing of railroad locomotive in a case of mountain trucking with large count of curves with low radius. It is show, that in a case of locomotive guiding in a low radius curves a pseudo-random vibration arise. The level of the pseudo-random vibration in a low radius curves exceeds the vibration in the rail joint, but vibration in the guiding is semi continuous. In a case of locomotive working, also the harmonics of gearing is shown. The spectral density of vibration accelerations is presented in a three-dimensional form, coded in color on a two-dimensional time-frequency diagram for estimating the vibration spectra and their probable sources.

    Analytical capabilities for complex aes spectrometry for the control defects rail track

    The aim of the work, the results of which are presented in this article, is to a study of the impact of physical and mechanical properties of rail steel on the parameters of the spectrum emission. The experimental results were obtained by method of atomic emission spectroscopy (AES) in argon. Performed quantitative analysis material of the rail steel and built a multi-dimensional graduations of the description of the spectral lines correlate with changes in the hardness of steel.     In article the question about possibility of extension of service life of carriage wheels by influence on technological parameters of restoration of their driving profile is considered. The correlation analysis of statistical data on volumes of machining and the size of defects on a driving surface of the wheels coming to repair is made. The mechanism of purpose of an allowance for machining of a driving profile of a wheel which will allow to reduce an unreasonable consumption of metal of a rim of a wheel in shaving is offered.

    Ensuring the accuracy of the assembly of the device for monitoring the alignment of motor-axial bearings of locomotives methods of dimensional analysis

    The article is devoted to the description of the requirements for the accuracy of control devices and the development of methods to ensure the claimed dimensional accuracy by methods of dimensional analysis. The conditions for ensuring the accuracy of the assembly scheme, the determination of the dimensional chain and dimensional analysis of the dimensional chain during the assembly of the control device, as well as the main causes of errors during assembly and ways to eliminate them are listed. In addition, the consequences of the influence of irregular gaps in the interfaces of the control device parts on the measurement accuracy are presented, various types of assembly dimensional chains are considered, tasks solved when calculating the dimensional chain. The paper presents a compiled dimensional chain of the technological process of assembling a measuring instrument for monitoring the alignment of the inserts of motor-axial bearings of traction electric motors of locomotives, which represents a dimensional chain of the first type and is a chain with linear dimensions and vertically parallel links. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the calculated tolerances and limit deviations of the links of the assembly dimensional chain, providing the required value of the closing link for the proper functioning of the assembled measuring instrument. The paper describes the selection of the closing link of the dimensional chain, the selection of the links that make up the dimensional chain, the calculation of the limiting deviations of the closing link that ensure the required measurement accuracy during operation of the control device and the calculation of the limiting deviations of the components of the links of the dimensional chain by the "maximum-minimum" method. Thus, the article presents a solution to the design problem of dimensional analysis, which consists in determining the accuracy of the component links of the dimensional chain when assembling the control device according to the known calculated tolerance of the closing link and its limit deviations.

    The article proposes a numerical-analytical method based on the boundary element method (Method of Boundary Elements Technology), which used to assess of change patterns of temperature fields in the working fluid in hydro-friction vibration damper telescopic view when the ambient temperature changes. This method takes into account the physico-mechanical properties of the working fluid and the effect of corrosion pouring temperature, ambient temperature, the speed of electric rolling stock and the working liquid filling height.

    Improvement of diagnostics of isolation of stator windings of asynchronous traction electric motor type 1tv2822 of electric locomotive 2es10 «granit» by means of spectral analysis of current

    The article is devoted to improving the methodology for diagnosing the technical condition of an asynchronous traction electric motor of type 1TV2822, a cargo mainline electric locomotive of the 2ES10 "Granit" series. To diagnose the inter-turn isolation of the stator windings, a structural model of a closed asynchronous traction motor system of type 1TV2822 is proposed. The results of modeling the operational mode and emergency mode of operation of a traction electric motor are presented, using digital processing of current waveforms in the stator winding, logarithmic spectrograms of the stator current are obtained, graphs of the pseudo spectrum of the power of the logarithmic spectral component of the stator current as operable, and an emergency traction asynchronous electric motor of type 1TV2822 with an inter-turn circuit in the stator winding.Based on the analysis of the power pseudo spectrum graph performed using digital processing of the current curve waveform in the MATLAB program package, the logarithmic powers of the current spectrum in the stator winding are presented, which serve to build an on-board adaptive system for diagnostics of asynchronous traction electric motors of the type 1TV2822 of the electric locomotive 2ES10 «Granite».

    Laser thermohardening of friction couple "ring - sleeve of cylinder"

    Article is devoted to actual questions of research of microstructure,physic-mechanical and tribological indicators blankets of friction couple "ring-sleeve of cylinder" under laser processing.Analysis of base defects of elements of cylinder-piston group of internal combustion engines,methods their reduction and rise of tribotechnical characteristics are conducted.Notes that different kinds of thermos and chemical thermal processing of working surface of link are most effective means of rise of wear resistance of couple "ring-sleeve of cylinder".Using of perspective technology of laser thermostrengthening is offered with this target.Offering technologies find greater application in automobile and technics of agricultural purpose. But purpose of ICE in aviation industry due to their specific exploitative and specific design features is limited.At the same time,they may have important practical meaning. Different variants of laser modification of surfaces of coupling in the context of CPG of aviation engine of ASH-62IR are offered and analyzed in article. Data of microstructural analysis of blanket,indicators of microhardness and wear resistance are adduced.Short description of tribotechnical laboratory-scale plant and methodic of conduct an experiment on base of comparative analysis of findings is given.Wherein tribotechnical indicators are compared with results of metallographical researches and physic-mechanical properties of modification layer,in particular with indicator of microhardness. Conduct of tribological researches determines that rise of indicator of wear resistance of friction couple "ring-sleeve of cylinder" observed at all researching regimes of laser effect with acconting of identified border conditions of processing for both elements of coupling.Maximum value of wear resistance is observed at laser thermostrengthening of both surfaces of couple on critical levels of density of laser energy.These levels do not case of appearance of microcracks in blanket.Wherein wearing qualities of modification surface of cylinder sleeve may increase by 4,5 - 5 times and wearing qualities of piston rings more than 3 times. Theoretical bases of mechanism of wear of thermos thermostrengthening surfaces which illustrate kinetics of increase their wear resistance in result of formation of microstructure of special blanket with increased bearing capacity,microhardness and improved conditions of wear of modification layer.Experimentally validated that the greatest wear resistance is observed in the friction elements at their mutual modifying their surfaces.

    Approbation of the method of reducing the specific expenditure and non-productive loss of electricity in the boundaries of railway account zones

    The article considers the current situation regarding the organization of control over the use of traction and energy resources of JSC «Russian Railways». The main provisions of the proposed method are stated. The influence factors on the specific electric power consumption of electric locomotives of series 2ES6 and VL10, as well as the evaluation of the quality of the constructed models of multiple nonlinear regression were estimated. New scientifically grounded technological solutions and developments are proposed that allow to reduce the specific consumption and unproductive losses of electric energy within the boundaries of the railway accounting areas.

    Using of aluminum matrix composite materials in the parts of electric railway vehicles current collectors

    The work is devoted to the consideration of the possibility of using composite materials with an aluminum matrix in the design of electric transport pantographs. Currently, there is a tendency to increase the speeds of electric transport. This fact requires reliable and high-quality current collection, which can be achieved by reducing the mass of the current collector design, including through the use of composite materials. The possibility of using composite materials in parts and assemblies of current collectors operating under conditions of increased current loads and at high speeds of movement and the mechanical characteristics of the traditional ones used in the carriage design and the composite materials proposed for use are analyzed. The design of a carriage of high-speed electric rolling stock has been developed, in which an aluminum matrix composite material was used as a structural material. Statistical modeling using the finite element method in the SOLIDWORKS Simulation software package was performed. Comparison of the strength characteristics of carriage assemblies made of traditional materials and aluminum matrix composite showed the possibility of reducing their weight in the case of composite use without reducing the strength of structural elements. The static characteristic of the carriage in which the composite material was used coincides with the static characteristic of the carriage made of traditional materials, which confirms the possibility of using an aluminum matrix composite without making significant changes to the carriage design. To evaluate the dynamic characteristics of the composite carriage and its effect on the dynamic characteristics of the pantograph, modeling was carried out using the methods of multibody modeling of SOLIDWORKS Motion. The obtained simulation results indicate an improvement in dynamic characteristics when using composite materials, which has a beneficial effect on the reliability and quality of current collection.

    The development and approbation technologies of increasing energy efficiency of production processes in service locomotive depo

    The article analyzes the results of the assessment operating time and power consumption of compressor equipment service locomotive depo Moscow West-Siberian Railway. The algorithms for data preparation for modeling and evaluating the efficiency of the production process are presented. The main factors influencing the power consumption of the compressor equipment are determined and the results of the assessment of their influence are presented. On the basis of the dependences obtained, a mathematical model of the process of power consumption of compressor equipment using fuzzy neural networks and its accuracy is determined. The interface of the developed program complex is presented at an estimation of influence of factors on process of power consumption of the equipment service locomotive depo Moscow West-Siberian Railway.

    Determination of electric rolling stock operational indicators optimal values according to the criterion of energy efficiency

    The article deals with the issue of improving the energy efficiency of DC and AC electric locomotives operated at the enterprises of JSC “Russian Railways». The main goals and objectives of the development program and energy strategy of JSC «Russian Railways» are analyzed and briefly considered. In accordance with these tasks, the relevance of scientific research in the field of improving the energy efficiency of electric locomotives is substantiated. The current data on traction rolling stock, on modern traction resource management systems and on Russian and foreign scientific research in the field of energy efficiency are analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was found that most of the studies are aimed at studying the influence of key operational factors on energy efficiency indicators, so, in this case, on the specific power consumption for train traction. However, the reverse question has been poorly studied - the selection of the train mass and the technical speed on the basis of a preliminary assessment of the specific power consumption for train traction by analyzing the statistical data of trips on a certain section of the railway. The purpose of this study is to assess the possibility and develop a method for determining the optimal values of the key parameters of the operation of electric freight locomotives in order to achieve maximum operational efficiency in relation to them according to the criterion of energy efficiency. Two models were created in the program «Complex of calculations of traction power supply» (CORTES) - for DC and AC electric locomotives, describing the dependence of the energy efficiency indicator (specific power consumption for train traction) on operational indicators, such as the train mass and the technical speed. The initial data for further modeling were obtained by modeling trips on a conditional site.

    Analysis of the modes of power supply systems based on the digital processing of the instant voltage and current values using the wavelet transform

    The article presents a criterion for choosing the optimal type of wavelet function for digital processing of current and voltage values in the analysis of the electric network mode. The increase in the share of electric receivers that distort the quality of electricity sets the task for researchers to use more advanced mathematical tools for analyzing and modeling such power supply systems. The discrete wavelet transform allows the harmonic analysis of currents and voltages under non-stationary non-sinusoidal modes. One of the key tasks in the development of digital technologies in the electric power industry is the creation and development of intelligent electric networks with the introduction of new algorithms for digital data processing and decision making. In this case, algorithms for compression and remote recovery of data on the consumption and production of electrical energy in the cloud should be developed. The wavelet transform eliminates the negative spreading effect characteristic of the Fourier transform in the analysis of non-sinusoidal non-stationary modes. Based on the Parseval equality, the wavelet transform makes it possible to determine the spectrum energy of individual frequency ranges determined by the depth of decomposition and the sampling frequency of the signal under study. The calculation of the energy of the spectrum of wavelet coefficients allows the compression of the flow volume of instantaneous values of voltages and currents. The article presents the results of continuous and discrete wavelet current conversion when switching a battery of static capacitors. Information compression ratio exceeded 5.3. The wavelet transform was performed using eight different wavelet functions. The criterion for choosing the optimal mother wavelet determines the condition of the maximum energy of the spectrum and the minimum standard deviation when restoring the original signal.

    Optimization method for dynamic system of locomotive traction drive, based on the base point method

    The necessity of searching for new methods to improve the dynamic rationalized properties of the traction drive, which does not create contradictions between the conclusions based on the results of numerical parametric analysis and the results of the analysis of nonparametric factors, is established. A modified base point method is proposed that takes into account the possible presence of areas of conservatism of a rational parameter and provides for a procedure for checking for conservatism. The search results using this method for a rational version of a traction drive with a support-frame suspension of an electric motor and a gear reducer coincide with the empirical choice of different manufacturers of locomotives.
