    Electrical distribution networks of railway junctions. problems and solutions

    The article describes the current state of railway non-traction electric power supply system in the electric grid complex. The main drawbacks of the existing electricity metering system in 0.4-10 kV distribution networks are shown.     Definition of consumption rates of materials on the current maintenance of the way

    The technique and algorithm of definition of consumption rates of materials on the current maintenance of a way depending on freight density, the passed tonnage, the plan and a profile of sites of a way, axial loadings of a rolling stock is given. Standards are developed on the basis of the analysis of the existing normative documents, statistical data from forms of primary accounting of PU-74 of the consumption of materials, annual reports of linear sites and other sources. Depending on service conditions standards are determined by analytical dependences and the correcting coefficients.

    Determination of the limit states of the support of a contact network on the basis of mathematical modeling of changes in their carrying capability

    The need to apply various methods for predicting the technical condition of reinforced concrete supports of the contact network is currently a necessary condition for ensuring the safety of train traffic. Such a need arose due to the presence in operation of supports with extended service life, in the absence of a reduction in loads, without the presence of various kinds of redundancy. The article describes a method for predicting the technical state of the supports of the contact network. Solving the problem of exploitation, which consists in the fact that it is rather difficult to reveal the system of failures of the considered object of exploitation, under the influence of many factors. The probability of finding the contact network supports in a certain state is expressed through the statistical properties of the contact network supports, based on the change in the carrying capacity

    The electrification of international transport railway corridor from asia to europe as a way of power system sustainable development of mongolia

    The paper deals with the problem of sustainable innovation development of the electric power system of Mongolia, taking into account the geographical position of the country on the border of a transport route between China and Russia. In the broadest sense between the Asian industrial region and Europe, the turnover between them is increasing every year. The main constraining factor on the way of this process is not electrified main railway line, passing through the territory of Mongolia. Shown the advantages of railway electrification to solve the problems of power supply industry and agriculture. The most important objective is the electrification of the transport route Sukhbaatar Ulaanbaatar-Zamyn-Ude, the length of 1111 km. It is shown that the realization of this goal will reduce rail route from Europe to Central Asia of 1,025 km. The forecast of development of transportation in the future. Along with this a forecast of the Mongolia’s electric power system, in which the traction electric load would be approximately 22%. Included the corresponding graph required the development of generating capacities in the Mongolian power system in order to adjust the available capacity to 3500MW by the year 2025. Proved significant advantages of electrified railway through improving electric locomotive in comparison with diesel locomotive. In contrast to the significant proportion of electrified railways of Russia on a direct current, proposed the path of traction power supply system 2x25kV. Following the example of other highly developed countries, it will go to the use of high-speed railways. Thus it is achieved balanced development of Mongolia's electric power system based on electrification of the transport corridor from Asia to Europe.

    On the issue of improving the reliability and durability of traction electric motors of diesel locomotives

    At this time the traction electric motor (TEM) is one of the most important elements of the design of rolling stock, since the safety and stability of the transportation process on the railway network of JSC "Russian Railways" depends on its uninterrupted operation. This article is given a detailed analysis of the TEM failures of diesel locomotives of the 2,3TE10 v / series and the assigned fleet of the Novaya Chara locomotive depot of the East Siberian Traction Directorate. The section of circulation of diesel locomotives from Taksimo station to Hani station is one of the most difficult not only in the borders The East Siberian Railway, but also the entire railway network of the country. The analysis of the statistics of the reasons for the failures of the TEM of locomotives of the Novaya Chara locomotive depot for 2006 - 2012 showed that there is a rather extreme operation mode and that most of the failures are due to the breakdown of the insulation of the anchor winding of the TEM. During a research trip to the diesel locomotive maintenance site, a team of IRGUPSA scientists conducted full-scale measurements speed of movement, driving mode of the train, heating temperature of the TEM, taken into account the climate factors - ambient temperature, relative humidity, pressure and others. After studying the available information, it was proposed to additionally coat the insulation with FL-98 varnish in order to maintain and restore its properties in the conditions of the Winter locomotive depot during TR-3. IRGUPS has been working for a long time to study the process of drying insulation using infrared radiation (IR). The effectiveness of this method has been proven by numerous experimental studies. Several PhD theses have already been defended in various dissertation councils on this topic. This article presents also the statistics of failures of operated TEM already with additional varnish-impregnated insulation of open frontal parts after the implementation of measures based on the results of the work of the IRGUPS group of scientists. It is established that the method of applying the compound to the insulation of the frontal part of the windings of electric machines and encapsulating it with the help of IR radiation energy is effective in combating TEM failures due to insulation breakdown.

    Energy approach to solving the problem of interaction between a wheel and a rail for an operational deployment railway track

    Based on the proposal for the formation of a railway track for operational deployment without ballast using a sub-rail base with a viscoelastic element forcedly filled with Newton's fluid and laid on an unprepared surface without ballast, an example of calculating the interaction of a wheel and a rail with this element based on the energy method is given. The possibility of using the design of the under-rail device for the operational laying of a railway track in difficult conditions on an unprepared surface without a track ballast layer is substantiated. The elastic dynamic impact of a wheel on a rail with initial speeds along a sub-rail base in the form of a box with shells laid on an unprepared surface is considered. The kinetic energy of a wheel hitting a rail laid on the proposed under-rail base passes not only into the potential energy of deformation, but also into the energy of wave and oscillatory processes. To improve the accuracy of solving the problem of dynamic impact, the transition of a part of the energy into the energy of local deformations in the contact area of the wheel with the rail is taken into account. Within a short period of time after touching the wheel at a certain speed, all elements of the rail acquire a certain strain rate. It is assumed that at the moment of contact with the wheel, the rail does not change its original shape, and the decrease in the speed of the wheel occurs due to local deformation of the materials of the contacting bodies; this period of impact will last until the velocities of the two bodies are equalized, after which the shape of the middle surface of the rail, modeled by a Bernoulli-Euler beam, will begin to change. Since the kinetic energy of the wheel is converted into the potential energy of bending, it is taken into account in the calculation to take into account the mass of the impacted body as the load of the wheel on the rail.

    Algorithm for joint traction and electric calculations of traction power supply system with considering the parameters of railway sections and training situation

    Paper is devoted to the development of an improved algorithm for calculating the traction power supply system for further practical implementation in order to improve the accuracy of calculations of the traction power supply system by combining traction and electrical calculations with considering the current train situation. The relevance of the task is due to the need to improve the accuracy of calculations of throughput and carrying capacity under the conditions of power supply devices with considering the criteria for energy efficiency of the transportation process. The available solutions to this problem in the form of ready-made software systems and algorithms are considered. A numerical experiment was carried out for the DC section in the program "Complex of calculations for traction power supply", which showed that the relative error that determines the convergence of traction and electrical calculations is from 1.6 % to 5.1 %. The main reason for the discrepancy is the insufficiently correct calculation of the voltage at the current collector of the electric rolling stock. An improved algorithm for calculating the traction power supply system is proposed. The distinguishing feature of this algorithm is the implementation of a clarifying full traction calculation before compiling instant schemes and instant electric and traction calculations. As a result of the research, a general algorithm for joint traction and electrical calculations with considering the parameters of railway sections and the current training situation has been developed,. A conclusion about the advantages of the proposed algorithm and promising directions for further research is made.

    Logistics solutions for the regulation of empty car traffic on the eastern railway polygon

    The national program of socio-economic development of the Far East in the period to 2024 and a term until 2035 [1], approved September 24, 2020, provides for the modernization of the transport infrastructure of the Eastern site of "Russian Railways", in 2021 carrying capacity which should reach 144 million tons and by 2025, capacity will be increased to 182 million tons. In addition, the program provides for the implementation of measures to increase production capacity of the far Eastern seaports and development activities in the Arctic region and the Northern sea route as competitive Intercontinental transport corridor for cargo between the ports of the Asia-Pacific region and the European Union. to ensure the passage of promising volumes of cargo traffic, it is necessary to resolve issues that hinder the effective functioning of the far eastern transport hubs. Currently, the railway infrastructure of transport hubs has a maximum load. In 2018, the unloading of cars that arrived as part of block trains at the port stations of the Far Eastern Railway amounted to 994.46 thousand cars, while loading amounted to 426.88 thousand cars. Such a disparity in the volume of loading and unloading of goods leads to the accumulation of a large number of empty rolling stock at the port stations of the Eastern Polygon of railways, which must be sent for loading at the stations of the western direction. the released rolling stock occupies the tracks of the station and the port, thereby making it difficult to perform shunting work and limiting the station's ability to receive loaded cars. The purpose of this study is to develop proposals for the organization of work with empty car traffic at the eastern railway landfill. This requires to solve the following tasks: to analyze the workloads of the stations and the far Eastern sea ports interaction technology to all the traders in the transportation process, to develop actions on the organization of work of the regional logistics center with the empty wagons, to determine the economic efficiency of the activities. An important areas of work of the regional logistics center of the Far Eastern Railway is to improve the technology of working with the released rolling stock and the organization of a transport and logistics system for the accelerated return of empty gondola cars to the loading station. This paper presents an organizational scheme of interaction between rolling stock operators and management units of Russian Railways to regulate the movement of empty rolling stock. To improve the efficiency of operating the car fleet, it is necessary to organize an operational exchange of information between various owners of rolling stock, the regional logistics center of the Eastern polygon and the unloading station, which should consolidate the car traffic to form a special empty route. the conclusion of the study is to determine the potential economic efficiency of reducing the turnover of block train cars in the direction of «nakhodka-vostochnaya station-loading stations of the east siberian, west siberian and krasnoyarsk railways».

    Application of mathematical modeling methods when designing reconstruction of railways

    The development of railway transport is currently impossible to imagine without the use of mathematical models and algorithms. Consider the increase in speeds, reduction of travel time, while minimizing costs, is possible only with the qualitative and full use of the mathematical apparatus. The use of information technologies makes it possible to take an effective decision in the development of a project for the reconstruction of a railway line. The current state of the theory of railway transport is characterized by the presence of a developed system of mathematical models and algorithms for analyzing various features of railways. This opens up possibilities for building an approach to the problems of searching and optimizing design solutions on a mathematical basis, with the reduction to a minimum of costly and time-consuming physical modeling procedures. One of the main tasks that are set for the railway transport in the near future is to increase the speed of trains on existing railway lines with the use of computer technology (computer-aided design). The article deals with the problems of technical reconstruction of the railway plan to increase the speed of train movement. The urgency of the use of computer mathematical methods for the development of an optimal plan for increasing the speed of trains. A pair of mutually dual problems of optimal reconstruction of railway curves to increase the speed of trains with minimal capital investment is considered. As methods for solving the problems posed, the following methods were proposed: the method of steepest descent, a modified method of dynamic programming (the Cattell method), the method of indefinite Lagrange multipliers. The expediency of using each method to solve the problem is indicated. The considered methods allow to implement a number of computer-aided design procedures for the reconstruction of the railway plan.

    Nalysis of contamination of the crushed stone ballast

    This article contains information on the main pollutants and weeds on the railway. In the article the questions of the intensity of the contamination of the broken stone ballast. Specified criterion for assigning secondary and preventative maintenance of way in accordance with the technical specifications. Given reasons for the increased intensity of the contamination of the ballast in the first year of life. The analysis contamination of the broken stone layer in areas the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Medium-Siberian Magistral. The Trans-Siberian railway is considered towards Chelyabinsk - Karbysheva - Novosibirsk, the Medium-Siberian Magistral in the direction of the Input - Irtysh - Medium-Siberian. The analysis was conducted based on the data of geological investigations design and survey institutions and to schedules of repairs for the West Siberian infrastructure Directorate. For ease of estimation of the parameters of weeds the resulting material was consolidated into a single table. Based on the table were revealed of the according contamination of crushed stone ballast thickness, ballast layer, from the conceded tonnage and length of operation in years. The article describes the structure of the pollutants by particle size, in terms of pass excess tonnage. Indicated levels of contamination of crushed stone ballast at different values of the missed tonnage (700 million tons 1200 million tons and 1400 million tons). Additionally, this work was determined the average level of contamination of the ballast particles less than 25 mm, 5 mm and 0,1 mm) and obtained a limit value of the allowable clogging the broken stone ballast more than 30 percent. The result revealed the need for reducing the contamination of the broken stone ballast by conducting a deep cleaning.

    Method of ensuring the withdrawal of widening of gauge at curves with radius less than 350 m

    In the article the issues on creation of branch of track width when changing it in the curved track with radius less than 350 m. Presented the existing methods of widening or narrowing the width of the track in the curves section of track. We propose a method of change of gauge in curved track is from 1520 to 1530 or 1535 mm. to the Proposed method of drainage of the track width is carried out by the existing structures of the elements of the superstructure. The proposed method of drainage of the track width gives a smooth fit of the rolling stock in curve track section and provides the requirements of the applicable standards.

    Peculiarities of the technical railway stations’ development within the transit transport nodes of the far east region

    One of the priority areas of economic development of the Far East Region is focused on the communications with the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region. The region is crossed by the largest railways, such as Trans-Sib and Baikal-Amur, which have an access to the Far East seaports that promotes the growth of international trade operations and the increase of the transit traffic in the region. An expansion of transport and economic relations of our country in the Far East Region, the implementation of a considerable number of extractive industry programs ​​ within Baikal-Amur Region, the development of the sea ports of the Far East Region will cause the growth of the workload on the rail infrastructure that is impossible without its development and modernization. An important role in the transport process belongs to the technical stations, which handle all transit trains traffic. Therefore, at the current state, the consideration of the aspects of choosing the rational variants of railway transit nodes’ development with allowance for the environmental factors is timely.

    Indicators improvement of the traction substations multiple pulsed rectifiers energy efficiency

    The article deals with the introduction of a twenty - four pulse rectifiers with various rectification circuits on direct current traction substations. The results of the operation of a twenty-four-pulse rectifier installed at one of the traction substations prove the expediency of using such a converter. The variants of the existing equipment modernization, which is a part of the six- and twelve-pulse rectifiers in order to use it in the creation of twenty-four-pulse rectifiers, as well as the requirements for the creation of such rectifiers in industrial design are given.

    Transport development of the northern territories of russia

    In the course of scientific support of design, construction and operation, as well as forecasting the development of transport infrastructure in the Arctic region, RUT (MIIT) scientists have proposed a methodology for working out new design and technological solutions by testing them on a small section of the route that has received the status of experimental; a number of solutions have been proposed that can be taken into account and used during the development of transport infrastructure in the Arctic. To verify the university's developments, a number of expeditions were undertaken to study the features of the conditions of construction of transport facilities, including climatic and engineering-geological, as well as the condition of existing transport facilities (the Salekhard - Igarka Polar Highway): survey expeditions in 2005, 2012; joint expeditions with the Russian Geographical Society with the participation of scientists from the Institute of Roads, Construction and Structures of the Russian Institute of Transport (MIIT) in the Arctic region in 2019 - 2021, during which a geomonitoring network was organized; data on temperatures in the air, near-surface zones and in the ground environment were obtained; the analysis of the ground environment was carried out; recommendations were given on the specifics of the construction of transport facilities, including the construction of the roadbed, using different variants of technical and structural and technological solutions. The purpose of the article is to generalize the experience of the development of the northern territories through the development of transport communications and the testing of new structural and technological solutions for the construction of the roadbed by means of a local section of the highway in the status of a pilot site. The approach presented in this article can be used to form a methodology for solving the problem of creating an effective High-latitude Russian transport system in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation with forecasting trends in its development.

    Optimization of methodological approaches to the concept of «biological factor» priminitelno rail transport

    Article is devoted to production and occupational exposure to «biological factor» for workers оf railway transport. Purpose - improving the system of occupational safety in railway transport under the influence of workers pathogenic organisms. To identify gaps in the system of assessment «biological factor» has been studied Russian normative documentation for a special assessment of working conditions and carried out long-term work on hygienic assessment of working conditions. The article defines the term «biological factor», justify the need for of risk assessment of the harmful factor, expand the list of sources and professional group of railway workers potentially exposed to «biological factor». In this article presents a device for protection and prophylaxis railway workers from biological factor. The principle of operation of the device is based on the integrated use of methods of ultrasonic treatment and ionization to disinfect the indoor air of railway stations, bus stations, subway stations. According to the results of studying the Russian regulatory documentation in the transportation of dangerous goods by railway, identified the main problems and their solutions, in terms of biological safety: formulated the term «biologically dangerous goods»; the necessity of creating a class or sub-class «biologically dangerous goods» and its implementation in the existing rules; developed a simple list of «biologically dangerous goods»; the possibility of the impact of these goods on railway workers.
