    Study of the influence of climatic factors for pin insulators with rfid indicators

    The work relates to the application of a new method of noncontact RFID monitoring of the condition of insulators for overhead power lines, including signaling, centralizing, blocking, and longitudinal power supply lines . A significant number of accidents occur due to the breakdown of insulators and imperfection of control methods. It is proposed to use a non-contact RFID control system for overhead power line insulators, which consists of a reader with a transceiver and an antenna, standard insulators with RFID indicators and special software. The aim of the research is the influence of climatic factors on the components and assembly structures of pin insulators with RFID indicators and the operation of the RFID control system in general. The selected study samples are a radio frequency tag, an aluminum-coated plastic cap with an integrated tag, and a pin-shaped porcelain insulator with an RFID indicator in the assembly. The climatic tests were carried out in the testing center of technical means of railway transport of the Ural State University of Railway Transport (IC TSZHT USUPS). Temperature changes were simulated from -60 to +50 ° С with air humidity up to 93%. The results on the adhesive properties and electrical conductivity of a conductive coating on a polyethylene surface and the stability of the functioning of RFID tags are presented and analyzed. Suggestions for improving the components and assembly design are given. Firstly, to use a screw thread on the top of the pin instead of a special knurling, which will reduce mechanical stress during installation of the structure of individual components and will reduce the error in the installation dimensions to improve the reception and transmission of signals between the reader and the tag. Secondly, sandblasting of the surface of the polyethylene cap can improve the adhesion of the surface to the conductive coating, which will increase the electrical conductivity of the structure. The result of this work proves that the developed RFID control system of insulators functions in the climatic conditions specified by GOST, which allows to recommend its implementation in the lines ts use in lines of devices with a voltage of 6-10 and 35 kV.

    Methodology of selecting compensating devices in the ac traction power supply system

    The paper considers a traction power supply system with a voltage of 27,5 kV AC. In the MATLAB-Simulink software environment, a calculation model has been developed that takes into account the parameters of the external power supply system, the train schedule and the current consumption of the electric traction load in the inter-substation zone. It is shown that when choosing the power of the compensating device according to the average value of the reactive power consumed by one train, its passage through the inter-substation zone with direct current causes the same average power losses in the wires of the catenary as in the absence of a compensating device. An increase in the number of trains simultaneously located in the inter-substation zone with the same power of the compensating device entails a decrease in power losses in the wires of the catenary relative to a similar situation without a compensating device, however, the reactive power is only partially compensated. In the calculations of compensating devices, it is proposed to take into account the real existing train schedule, based on the probabilistic assessment of which the average daily reactive power consumed by the electric rolling stock is determined. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the power losses in the catenary. The use of unregulated compensating devices is advisable in areas with a constantly present load. When choosing step devices for transverse capacitive compensation, it is proposed to calculate their power based on a probabilistic analysis of the train traffic schedule and current consumption in the inter-substation zone. When the probability of the appearance of a certain number of trains exceeding 50%, the most effective are compensating devices, the power of which is selected on the basis of the average power consumption of all trains without taking into account the time of no load in the inter-substation zone, as well as two-stage devices, the power of the first stage of which is selected according to the current consumption of the two most likely occurrences of the number of trains.

    Intelligent traffic safety management at public railway crossings

    In connection with the traceable global trend of increasing average speeds in railway transport, more and more often they are trying to exclude the intersection of railways and roads. However, in the Russian Federation, only 40 % of railway crossings are located near settlements or on busy roads, the construction of two-level interchanges at the remaining crossings is not economically profitable, and sometimes difficult due to climatic conditions. Therefore, a different approach is needed to prevent incidents and accidents at crossings. At the same time, the need for an individual construction of a security strategy for each object of the transport infrastructure should be taken into account. At present, in the existing information systems of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the owners of the railway infrastructure, a fairly large amount of statistical information has been accumulated on incidents and traffic accidents at railway crossings. But most often these data are used for certificates containing absolute values in each of the departments. At the same time, the relationships between these disparate sources of information are not comprehensively analyzed. Modern technologies for creating intelligent information systems based on existing large databases and tools such as machine learning, intelligent search, neural networks make it possible to build an expert system based on a specific set of rules that can analyze the situation at a particular crossing, assess the likelihood of emergency situations and suggest ways to prevent them. In addition, it is important to analyze not only the infrastructure, but also specific units of vehicles and the accident-free performance of the drivers driving them. This article discusses the prerequisites and technology for building a knowledge base of an intelligent system used to analyze the level of safety at railway crossings, which will allow us to combine currently information about the factors accumulated in various systems that affect traffic safety at crossings and based on the accumulation of knowledge give a forecast of the development of the situation at each specific object.

    Minimizing the search time for failures in receiver end devices of tonal track circuit on station

    The article deals with the possibility of applying diagnostic algorithms, taking into account the complexity of the examination, applied to a specific problem of searching for damage in receiver end of station's tonal track circuit. The article presents calculated conditional probabilities, diagnostic weights, particular and general diagnostic values of examinations, taking into account the time of movement and work by an electrician. Based on the calculations performed, a conditional diagnostic algorithm has been compiled, taking into account the complexity of the following for the equipment of the relay end of the tonal rail circuit. The effect of using this algorithm is shown. The results of the work given in the article can be used in the maintenance of automation systems of existing railways.

    Algorithm of selecting the optimum route of electromechanics at automatic and telemechanicsdevices at railway station

    In this article, a scientific approach to optimizing the electromechanical route for servicing the centralization and blocking devices at the station is considered. For this purpose, the authors propose to use the algorithm for solving the known traveling salesman problem. This algorithm is the basis for constructing technological maps of the movement of electromechanics around the station, as a component of technological maintenance cards for automation and telemechanics devices.

    Reducing the time maintenance of station track circuits of railway automation

    This article discusses the process of maintenance of railway automation devices. The aim of the work is to reduce labor costs for maintenance of track circuits of railway automation. Presents the method for automating the process of checking on the shunt track circuits shunting sensitivity of track circuit by at cross-rack and scheme of the device that implements this method. The values of shunt resistance equivalent to the imposition of regulatory shunt at predetermined points of the track circuit are calculated. The results obtained in the paper can be used for the improvement of systems of automation of existing railways.

    Displaying the changing linear transformers parameters in the systems of rail automatics and telemechanics

    This article is devoted to the investigation of the internal parameters of transformers used for power supply of railway automatic and telemechanic devices. In this paper, the change in the nomogram of the impedance area of a power transformer is considered when changing the parameters of the replacement circuit of this transformer. The possibility of visualizing the change in the parameters of a transformer using the mathematical apparatus of conformal mappings is shown. The nomograms of the input resistance of the single-phase oil transformer are constructed with a change in the value of the insulation resistance and the transient resistance at the junction points. Based on the constructed nomograms, conclusions were drawn on the behavior of the input impedance region of the transformer in various situations.

The results obtained in the article can be used for technical maintenance of automation systems of operating railways.
