    Loading of passenger trains in case of emergencycollision with a car on the railroad

    On the basis of the analysis of statistics of the incidents which have occurred on the railroads of Russia and connected with collisions of trains with obstacles, the most probable scenarios of development of an emergency situation are allocated. Modern methods of investigation of kinematics and dynamics of vehicles are analyzed. By methods of solid-state computer modeling the estimation of the dynamic loadings acting on the locomotive and passenger cars at collision of the passenger train with an obstacle in the form of the lorry on the railway crossing is carried out. For this purpose solid-state computer model of a passenger train and a cargo car. The obtained results indicate a high dynamic load of the locomotive in a collision. At the same time, passenger cars are affected by low dynamic loads that do not lead to damage to the load-bearing structures of passenger cars. The obtained results can be used in the creation of modern passenger rolling stock, characterized by high demands on safety in emergency situations.     Influence of technical characteristics and their definitions on the stability of the movement of empty rolling stock

    Based on the analysis of the empty rolling stock on the Krasnoyarsk and East Siberian Railways, the technical parameters that have a significant impact on the unloading of the wheel of the first wheel pair in the course of movement are determined. The design features of wagons influencing the safety coefficient of train traffic are considered. Statistical processing of these gatherings, according to the materials of official investigations, revealed a number of interesting features. One of them is non-normalized total gaps in the sliders along the diagonals of the wagons. This fact in the movement of empty car causes misalignment of the body, which in turn leads to a redistribution of the loads acting on the spring kits on the sides of carts and wagons. The influence of elastic suspension parameters (height, spring break) on the redistribution of loads acting on the sides of the trolley is considered. The misalignment of the body of empty wagons, especially wagons with a sufficiently small mass of unsprung parts and a high center of gravity, leads to a significant reduction in the safety factor. The calculation of the transverse guiding forces acting at the point of contact of the wheel and rail, as well as their effect on the unloading of the wheel. It is revealed that the body skew leads to a significant increase in lateral force, which affects the stability of the empty rolling stock.

    Improvement of safety devices of high-speed current collectors

    Now the problem of development of the high-speed and high-speed movement on the main railway transport that is connected by increase of traffic safety of trains and ensuring reliable work of contact suspension brackets and current collectors of an electrorolling stock is actual. For increase of reliable work of current collectors there are some ways one of which is creation of the safety devices which are built in a design of current collectors and providing their automatic lowering in emergencies. In Omsk State Transport University the current collector equipped with safety devices of new generation on the basis of the operated pneumatic devices and providing protection at failure or the increased wear of contact elements, and also breakages of a runner is developed; at rise on height of more admissible at departure of an electrorolling stock for the sign «End of a Contact Suspension Bracket» or break of contact wires; at blows and arrivals on obstacles in a contact suspension bracket. For control and management of operation of safety devices the protective pneumatic contour located on the basis of a current collector in the special case is used. At operation of one of safety devices there is a depressurization of the pneumohighway of a protective contour therefore pressure of compressed air the drive of a current collector decreases and it falls under the influence of own gravity. Restoration of a current collector possibly only in the conditions of depot or point of maintenance of locomotives. Calculation of characteristics and parameters of the device of protection at blows and arrivals on obstacles in a contact suspension bracket needs to be carried out by the given technique for zones of normal, dangerous and emergency work. For an assessment of operability of safety devices and definition of their main technical indicators and parameters in laboratory of OSTU the shock and oscillatory complex is developed for research of interaction of a current collector with a contact network.

    Analysis of change of pressure in the main reservesof locomotive based on the results of train tests

    The subject of this article is the pressure in the main reservoir of the locomotive. The purpose of the study is to obtain and analyze unique data on pressure reduction in the main reservoir of the locomotive. When carrying out train tests developed by the author of the train brake diagnostic system, pressure changes in the main reservoir of the locomotive were obtained depending on the driver's control effects in real time. This was achieved by installing a sensor measuring the pressure in the nutrient line of the locomotive and processing data using the software and hardware complex diagnostics system for the brake network of the train. In work methods of the mathematical analysis, a method of experiment, an analytical method are applied. As a result of the work, pressure reduction curves are described in accordance with the processes occurring in the main tanks of the locomotive during train operation. An explanation of the flow of pneumatic processes in accordance with the specifics of the braking equipment of the rolling stock of railways. An experiment was carried out to measure the density of the brake network of a train by a machinist and a system for diagnosing the brake network of a train, and the convergence of results was presented. Also, quantitative indicators of the measurement rate by the standard and proposed method are determined. The research results were applied to improve the methods and means of diagnosing the brake network of a train, modeling pneumatic processes of the train's brake system. Pressure reduction curves have their own gas-dynamic nature, which allows to determine the mode of operation of the braking system, as well as diagnose faults in the brake network of the train, such as shutting off end valves, leaks along the way.

    Expansion of the adjustment range of the air distributor № 483

    Currently, in the brake system of operated cars, there is a problem of lack of brake pressure on the wheel, which is necessary for the movement of the train at a set speed in accordance with the regulatory documentation. This is due to the tendency to increase the mass of trains and the maximum load of cars with a constant tare weight, which requires an extended range of pressure control in the brake cylinder by an air distributor or auto mode, depending on the load of the car. To solve this problem, calculations were made of the braking coefficient of cars equipped with air distributors № 483, which showed that the freight car was not equipped with brakes to run as part of a train at a set speed. In the course of engineering studies, it turned out that increasing the spring rate of loaded and medium modes can increase the adjusting range of the air distributor and partially solve the problem of lack of brake pressure. Thus, it is proposed to recalculate the stiffness of the adjusting spring. Calculations of the rigidity of regular and proposed springs were made. The braking coefficient has been recalculated, taking into account the increased spring constant. As a result, this coefficient has increased, which makes it possible to remove speed limits. The proposed method for upgrading the air distributor can be carried out on all types of repairs, which facilitates the implementation process.

    Coordinate system of control and alerting about hazardous electric potentials during operation and technology of repair of power supply devices jsc «russian railways»

    The state of industrial injuries during operation and repair technology of power supply devices in the power complex of Russian Railways, which confirms the relevance of the development and implementation of methods and technical means of protecting electrical personnel of the power complex of Russian Railways from electrical injury. The analysis of existing methods of maintenance, operation and repair technology of the contact network is carried out. An innovative solution is proposed in the field of electrical safety of personnel of the energy complex of JSC "Russian Railways" through the creation of a single high-precision coordinate space of power supply devices, implemented on the basis of mechanisms for using the global navigation satellite systems GLONASS / GPS.Considered the implementation of power supply and sectioning circuits and main electrical connections in the form of a digital model, which has a mathematical description of the geometric characteristics and spatial position of the contact network; feeding feeders; overhead lines: longitudinal power supply, automatic blocking, centralization and blocking, lines «two wires - rail», lighting; waveguide and other objects of power supply and electrification of railways. On the basis of modeling dangerous situations of electric shock, the electrical personnel of the power complex of JSC «Russian Railways» during the maintenance and repair of overhead contact network devices in all categories of work substantiated the effectiveness of the implementation of a spatial database in the form of a digital model of contact network devices. The use of a digital model of the overhead contact network will increase the level of electrical safety during maintenance and repair of overhead contact network devices and reduce the level of electrical injury to employees of the power complex of Russian Railways.

    Intelligent traffic safety management at public railway crossings

    In connection with the traceable global trend of increasing average speeds in railway transport, more and more often they are trying to exclude the intersection of railways and roads. However, in the Russian Federation, only 40 % of railway crossings are located near settlements or on busy roads, the construction of two-level interchanges at the remaining crossings is not economically profitable, and sometimes difficult due to climatic conditions. Therefore, a different approach is needed to prevent incidents and accidents at crossings. At the same time, the need for an individual construction of a security strategy for each object of the transport infrastructure should be taken into account. At present, in the existing information systems of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as the owners of the railway infrastructure, a fairly large amount of statistical information has been accumulated on incidents and traffic accidents at railway crossings. But most often these data are used for certificates containing absolute values in each of the departments. At the same time, the relationships between these disparate sources of information are not comprehensively analyzed. Modern technologies for creating intelligent information systems based on existing large databases and tools such as machine learning, intelligent search, neural networks make it possible to build an expert system based on a specific set of rules that can analyze the situation at a particular crossing, assess the likelihood of emergency situations and suggest ways to prevent them. In addition, it is important to analyze not only the infrastructure, but also specific units of vehicles and the accident-free performance of the drivers driving them. This article discusses the prerequisites and technology for building a knowledge base of an intelligent system used to analyze the level of safety at railway crossings, which will allow us to combine currently information about the factors accumulated in various systems that affect traffic safety at crossings and based on the accumulation of knowledge give a forecast of the development of the situation at each specific object.

    Accident prevention complex at passive level crossings

    In the Russian Federation, most railway accidents take place at passive level crossings. The majority of scientific papers on the topic of crossings deal with the improvement of active level crossings operation. At present, there is no effective way to improve safety at passive level crossings. The subject of the study is passive level crossings. The aim of the paper is to develop a set of preventive measures to avoid accidents at passive level crossings. The article describes the cases of traffic accidents at level crossings of the West Siberian railway, studies the scheme of passive level crossings and offers a schematic diagram of the accident prevention system at passive level crossings. The work algorithm of the accident prevention system at passive level crossings and the algorithm of giving the locomotive a notification of an emergency situation at passive level crossings are presented. Using the existing coding scheme of the train protection system as a transmission line for information about an emergency situation at a level crossing allows simplifying significantly the scheme of the developed system. The paper also calculates the maximum permissible time of occupation of the crossing by motor vehicles and the time of coding change in the automatic locomotive signaling system of continuous type. The proposed accident prevention system at passive level crossings does not require additional equipment to organize the communication channel and is cost-neutral. Equipping passive level crossings with this system will improve train safety, reduce the number of accidents and increase the efficiency of the railway transport complex in general.

    Passenger comfort as a track and rolling stock interaction indicator

    The article deals with the issue of the interaction of the track and rolling stock and the relationship of factors affecting the comfort of passengers. Examples of passenger comfort indicators are given and possible causes of deviations in the track geometry are considered. The results of experimental trips are analyzed and the data obtained by standard diagnostic tools are presented. Natural irregularities in the plan and profile were constructed in the analyzed areas where comfort indicators were exceeded. The data presented demonstrate the use of an additional indicator of the interaction of the track and rolling stock, which is advisable to take into account to identify deviations in the geometry of the track gauge when carrying out work on the current maintenance of the track, since there are irregularities or combinations of irregularities in the track that have an increased dynamic impact. It is worth noting that currently not all irregularities are registered, and accordingly such irregularities are not eliminated. Using the «passenger comfort» indicator calculated from the accelerations occurring in the elements of the rolling stock, it is possible to determine the places and deviations of the geometry of the track gauge that affect the dynamic characteristics of the rolling stock, causing increased comfort indicators.

    Optimization of methodological approaches to the concept of «biological factor» priminitelno rail transport

    Article is devoted to production and occupational exposure to «biological factor» for workers оf railway transport. Purpose - improving the system of occupational safety in railway transport under the influence of workers pathogenic organisms. To identify gaps in the system of assessment «biological factor» has been studied Russian normative documentation for a special assessment of working conditions and carried out long-term work on hygienic assessment of working conditions. The article defines the term «biological factor», justify the need for of risk assessment of the harmful factor, expand the list of sources and professional group of railway workers potentially exposed to «biological factor». In this article presents a device for protection and prophylaxis railway workers from biological factor. The principle of operation of the device is based on the integrated use of methods of ultrasonic treatment and ionization to disinfect the indoor air of railway stations, bus stations, subway stations. According to the results of studying the Russian regulatory documentation in the transportation of dangerous goods by railway, identified the main problems and their solutions, in terms of biological safety: formulated the term «biologically dangerous goods»; the necessity of creating a class or sub-class «biologically dangerous goods» and its implementation in the existing rules; developed a simple list of «biologically dangerous goods»; the possibility of the impact of these goods on railway workers.

    Analysis of the factors affecting the operation of a level crossing

    A level crossing is a system of interaction between rail and road transport. Traffic safety at level crossings is a priority in Russia. Despite the annual reduction in the number of level crossings and the modernization of existing level crossings, the number of accidents at level crossings, including fatalities, remains at the significant level. The subject of research is the factors affecting the safety of level crossings. The aim of the work is to identify the factors with the greatest affecting the operation of a level crossings in the Russian Federation. The research used: a generalized block diagram of a level crossing, a block diagram of factors affecting the operation of a level crossing, a prior analysis by the evaluation, calculation of the Kendall coefficient for individual groups of factors, sorting of factors according to the average assessment of experts. The article provides data on the number of road traffic accidents at level crossings in the Russian Federation for the period from 2005 to 2020, and the number of level crossings of different categories for 2020. It has been hypothesized that the main cause of accidents at level crossings is violation of the rules by vehicle drivers. The block diagram of factors affecting the operation of a level crossing based on the generalized block diagram of a level crossing. Factors affecting the operation of a level crossing are divided into four groups. The Kendall coefficient was calculated for individual groups of factors. Evaluation of the factors affecting the operation of a level crossing was implemented, according to the average assessment of the experts. This hypothesis was confirmed. Using of the results of this analysis will reduce the number of accidents at level crossings. The results can be used both in the modernization of existing level crossings and in the design of new level crossings.

    The reasons for violations of traffic safety of freight cars in operation

    Application of diversity in automated control systems of hazardous technological processes to increase resistance to systematic failures

    The influence of systematic failures to the functional safety of automated control systems of hazardous technological processes is considered. It is shown that stability ensuring of the process control system to systematic failures is an actual task for today. Approaches to increase the robustness to systematic failures recommended by IEC 61508 are presented. Special attention is paid to methods based on diversion. The functional diversity and technology diversity have been revealed in detail. Examples of using diversification in railway automation systems are given. The main problems of using diversification to increase resistance to systematic failures are formulated. The main advantages of using diversification are increased resistance to systematic failures and reduced risk of dangerous failures through the usage of diversified protection methods at the functional levels of the APCS. The disadvantages of using diversification are a significant increase in the costs of developing and automated process control system maintenance, the difficulty of confirming the different behavior of diversified channels in case of systematic failures, and the lack of an effective method to assessing the sufficiency of the obtained diversification for a given level of safety integrity.
