Research of the forces acting on the latch of the vacuum switch vbo-25-20/630 uhl1

The experience gained in the operation of high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers VBO-25-20/ 630UHL1 indicates an incorrect assessment of the mechanical resource of its individual components and elements. Despite the repeated improvement of the design of the main switch drive, applicable both as part of the new «Ermak» series locomotives starting from number 1000 series, and in earlier numbers, the dynamics of malfunctions continues to persist to the present time. One of the most important elements of the main switch is a latch designed to hold the elements of the drive mechanism in the on position, the failure of the latch entails the failure of the entire section of the locomotive. The article considers three latch upgrades previously proposed by the manufacturer, a kinematic scheme of the drive with a vacuum arc-extinguishing chamber of the switch is developed, the parameters of the preload and trip springs in the drive are calculated, the forces operating during operation are determined. On the example of the latest modernization of the latch using the finite element method in the SolidWorks Simulation software package, a strength calculation was carried out, according to the results of which the stresses arising in its design were determined. As a result of the analysis of the finite element model, the forces critical for the structure are determined, a graph of the dependence of the structural strength margin and the maximum stress in the structure on the acting forces is developed. According to the results of the study, the force at which the most favorable value of the safety factor is provided is determined, for which it is proposed to reduce the critical force by changing the parameters of the compression springs and disconnecting the drive of the arc extinguishing chamber. A loading diagram with the drawing dimensions of two modified springs has been developed.

The article presents the results of research on the efficiency of the electric energy storage system in traction power supply on the example of one of the sections of JSC "Russian Railways". The results of measurements of electric values of electric rolling stock when moving along the railway section under study are considered. Based on simulation modeling, an assessment of the impact of power storage systems on the capacity of the railway section is obtained. Graphs of changes in the minimum travel interval and the minimum voltage on the current collector of an electric moving train depending on the power of the storage system, energy intensity, and threshold voltages for charge and discharge modes are constructed. An algorithm for the operation of the power storage system at a traction substation or linear device has been developed. Based on the simulation results, a graph of the degree of charge is constructed and a series characteristic is determined that allows maintaining the discharge depth at the level of no more than the specified one. Based on the results of calculations, the power, energy intensity and charging characteristics of the storage system are determined, which provide the required voltage level at the current receiver of an electric moving train within the boundaries of interstation zones.

Analysis of the characteristics of the traction load on high-speed sections to determine the operating conditions of power storage devices

An increase in the speeds of the electric rolling stock has an impact on the energy indicators of the operation of the traction power supply system. One of the technical solutions to the task of equalizing the traction load schedule to reduce voltage losses in the contact network is the use of electricity storage systems. The article presents the results of simulation modeling, which allow us to estimate the change in the energy indicators of an electric train with an increase in movement speeds for conditions of a single electric train following a section. According to the results of traction calculations, the influence of the voltage level on the electric train current collector on the technical speed is shown, the deviation of which for the typical voltage values in high-speed traffic is about 1%. For the selected section of rapid movement and technical speeds, the voltage level for traction calculations is justified. The dependences of the change in the average values of the load and the technical speed with an increase in the maximum speed up to 250 km/h are determined. Statistical estimates for the voltage on the pantograph of the Velaro RUS electric train are determined. The influence of the energy intensity of the onboard storage system with the corresponding charging characteristic on the reduction of maximum currents is shown. Dependences are obtained for the voltage drop on the electric train current collectors with an increase in movement speeds. The assessment of the maximum energy intensity of storage devices for the most severe operating conditions with a single electric train track on the site was carried out. These results allow us to determine the prospects for improving the method of calculating energy indicators and the use of accumulation systems in areas of rapid movement as on-board systems and compare their effectiveness with stationary systems based on simulation modeling, in which various control algorithms are implemented.

Simulation modeling of the operation of electricity storage devices in post-accident and forced operating modes of the traction power supply system

One of the properties of the reliability of the power supply of electric rolling stock of railways is the trouble-free operation of the traction power supply system in various modes of its operation. For post-emergency and forced modes of operation of the traction power supply system, a decrease in load capacity is characteristic. In order to ensure the throughput and carrying capacity of the railway section by traction power supply devices, it is proposed to consider the use of electric power storage devices on electric rolling stock and in the traction power supply system. Studies conducted by domestic and foreign researchers allow us to evaluate the effectiveness of alternative solutions to improve the reliability of power supply, which include various options for the use of electric power storage devices on electric rolling stock and in the traction power supply system. This article presents the results of a review of these solutions, a simulation model of a traction power supply system and an electric rolling stock with power storage devices based on various batteries and a supercapacitor is proposed. Modeling of changes in the modes of operation of the traction power supply system is carried out taking into account the state control of switching devices. Energy efficiency of traction drive of railway road electric locomotives

The subject of the study is energy efficiency of traction power supply system and traction electric drive of electric locomotives. The article is scientifically based on the assessment of the energy efficiency of the mutually connected system of electric traction of trains. The study is aimed at solving problems on reduction of voltage losses in the contact system, active power in the contact system and traction electric drive of electric locomotives. This is possible due to the full and continuous use of the electrical potential of the power supply system. The research methodology is based on the law of energy preservation, mathematical modeling of the energy process and spectral analysis of voltage and current on the current collector of the electric locomotive. Analytically and by results of calculation it has been proved that significant losses of voltage, active power in the contact system, traction electric drive of electric locomotives are caused by unsatisfactory operation of power regulators and mismatch of voltage level in the contact power network, which is necessary for realization of heavy and high-speed driving of trains. In order to eliminate the negative effect of the inductive coupling of AC traction power supply on the energy efficiency and speed of trains, it is proposed to increase the voltage in the DC contact system and develop power regulators of electric locomotives. Mathematical model of DC electric traction system shows possibilities of reduction of electric energy losses and increase of movement speed due to application of electric semiconductor variator for matching of high voltage in contact system with voltage of traction electric motors of electric locomotive.

Study of the effect of harmonic interference from a high voltage power line on the operation of a non-linear receiving device for continuous automatic locomotive signalling with a correlation decoder

This paper considers a continuous automatic locomotive signalling (CALS) receiver with a correlation decoder. The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of harmonic interference from a high-voltage power line on the operation of a non-linear CALS receiver with a correlation decoder. The experimental study of the quality of operation of a non-linear CALS receiver with a correlation decoder under the influence of harmonic interference from high-voltage power lines was carried out using the simulation method. Simulation models of interference from a high-voltage power line (VPL), a receiver and a correlation decoder of the CALS channel were used in the study. The analysis of oscillograms obtained as a result of the study has shown that the correlation decoder has a number of features due to the algorithm of its functioning. The correlation decoder more confidently accepts code combinations with a duration of 1.6s (generated by the code track transmitter of CTT-5 type), than the duration of 1.86s (generated by the code track transmitter CTT-7). This is expressed in a shorter time interval of disturbance of the CALS non-linear receiving device. At decoding of the code combination (CC) with the duration of both 1.6 s and 1.86 s the situation of short-term decoding of the more permissive CC «Y» instead of «RY» was observed. However, the duration of these situations did not exceed two code cycles and would not have caused a more permissive light to appear at the locomotive traffic light. In general, the experiments have shown that the CALS CC correlation decoding algorithm needs improvement for more confident decoding of CCs produced by a code track transmitter of the CTT-7 type(1.86 s).

Contact network protection settings methodology dc in formed mode using short-cutter kzks-3,3

The purpose of the article is to consider the issue of calculating and selecting the settings for the operation of the short-circuit switch KZKS-3.3 when organizing the protection of a direct current contact network in emergency mode. The shorting circuit is measured by the voltage module. When the triggering conditions are met, it is the voltage module that collects the circuit to turn on the switching device of the short circuit. The important question is to choose the optimal installation location of the short-circuit switches and the voltage trip settings. The initial information necessary for the calculation of the settings is determined. The calculation procedure and equivalent circuits for the most common power supply circuits and sectioning of the contact network are given. For current protection of high-speed circuit-breaker feeders, contact formulas are given for determining the sensitivity zones. To select the optimal installation location of the short-circuit and select the voltage pick-up setting from the allowable range, a potential diagram of the contact network section is constructed. The analysis based on the potential diagram allows us to conclude that the organization of protection of the contact network in emergency mode using short circuits is effective.

The protection of the contact network of a direct currentat forced modes

The article considers the issue of providing protection for the contact network when removing 3.3 kV traction substations from the Nazivoye direction of the Omsk power supply distance of the West Siberian Railway. When the 3.3 kV switchgear is brought out to repair, the protection zone for connection of the contact network of adjacent traction power supply system objects (traction substations, sectionalizing stations, parallel connection points) increases. To ensure the protection of the DC contact network, lowered settings for the operation of high-speed circuit breakers are introduced, which inevitably limit the capacity of the section for the passage of freight trains. Considered the existing order of withdrawal of equipment for repair with the inclusion of a traction substation post section. The limitations of skipping freight trains during the implementation of the existing scheme are estimated. Short circuit currents are also calculated and the settings for the protection of high-speed circuit breakers are selected when the sectioning station is switched off and the sectional disconnectors of the station are switched on. It was found that the condition for selecting the protection settings is not fulfilled when detaching from the minimum value of the short-circuit current. To reduce the limitations, a prototype of a short-circuit contactor of a direct current 3.3 kV grid has been developed. The use of a short-circuit-breaker allowed the protection of the contact network, for the time of the withdrawal of the switchgear equipment for repair, without transferring to lower settings for the operation of circuit breakers. Also in the article are given the technical characteristics and features of the proposed device design. The results of a test of a short-circuit of a 3.3 kV direct current contact network in the Dragunskaya-Novokievskaya-Lubinskaya section are presented. The main directions for further work are determined.

Determination of impact in intelligent voltagecontrol system in distribution electric networks

The urgency of the work is connected with the improvement of the components of the distributed automation system and voltage control within the framework of the development of actively adaptive electrical networks. An approach is presented to the determination of control actions within the framework of coordinated voltage control in distribution electrical networks using active elements based on multi-agent control. Voltage control in the electric network is carried out by all local regulators within the boundaries of the controlled zone under the condition of voltage stabilization. The control actions of local agents are determined as a result of coordination between each other in the type of "auction", the solution of the linearized optimization problem based on the sensitivity of the locations of the active elements to the change in voltages in the distribution network. The sensitivity of the parameters of the regime to the injection of power in the nodes of the electrical network is determined on the basis of sensory analysis of the conductivity of the network topology elements and the partial derivative of the unbalance of the constituent electrical quantities. Achieving the global goal of managing coordinating agents is achieved by optimizing the mode parameters and adjusting the work of local agents. The presented simulation results on the test circuit showed the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approaches..

A mathematical model of a track circuit for data set generationin machine classification applications

The quality of a track circuit monitoring system is defined to the great extent by its ability to automatically analyse the acquired data, i. e. identify the state of a track circuit. Machine learning techniques can be applied to implement this functionality. Designing a machine learning algorithm requires a learning data set from the subject domain. In this article we discuss a basic principle of track circuit mathematical model design that could be used to generate such data set. We also apply this principle and a combination of some existing methods to design and demonstrate a mathematical model of the 25 Hz AC track circuit.
